Same situation and questions arose during the last split. Look back in the posts between 1 Sept and 8 Sept 09 and nearly all of the questions can be answered.

None the less, it is frustrating. But, keep in mind that some brokerages will loan shares to traders even though the actual disbursement date is/was unclear.

Still holding long, I won't sell for this paltry price, not with awesome news on the horizon.

Scottrade is the worst broker to have when dealing with splits and dividends, ask me how I know! LOL
