FYI: Restrictions from ISPS

(You tweaked my interest.. so I figured I would just recap..)

Ted Rogers & Co
In addition, you are prohibited from running servers for mail, http, ftp, irc, and dhcp, and multi-user interactive forums.

Bell Sympatico
Running and/or hosting Server Applications including but not limited to HTTP, FTP, POP, SMTP, Proxy/SOCKS, NNTP,)

Telus
You are not permitted to operate an e-mail, web, news or other similar server through a TELUS Internet Services account, except where such use is expressly permitted under your service plan.
(I would think the business account))

Telus is very loose on their wording overall. Took a little longer to zoom in on this.

All are saying the same thing...

Oddly, Telus is the only ISP (from above) that actually limits the GB/month (10 or 20GB/mth?). Rogers (previously Shaw) never had a cap and Bell removed theirs a couple of years ago.

Again being behind a firewall I don't believe they can "see" my HTTP server.

Cheers and Happy Holidays All!

What can I say? A little joke from our past.. and some bilingual to boot -- I am here to please everyone!!
