This board has certainly taken on a different flavor or should I say... gone to crap! I think I will be taking a hiatus as well and take a lesson from a man I met today.
Interesting story... I had some cable internet work done at my house today and this guy shows up right on time and begins his work. I offered him bottled water etc. and each time he said no sir. Well he had just finished up and we were walking outside when I asked if I could get him anything. He said no sir, but do you mine if I asked you what this is about... (as he pointed at our family bulletin board) He saw a copy of a $25,000 Iraq note that my wife had posted on our board with the statement "Will Revalue @ $25,000 or more on June 4th 2010"
I was a bit embarrassed since it was my wife's vision board or positive intentions she calls it. I said that was a copy of the Iraq Dinar... and at that time he interrupted me and said yes sir I know what that is, I did three tours over there and my commanding officer told me to buy the local money, put it away and forget about it. He told me it would make me a lot of money one day.
When he saw the date of June 4th 2010, he thought maybe something had happened. I explained it was more about a wish or positive thinking on my wife's part and it was just my daughter's birthday. I asked him if he belonged to any of the Dinar boards or kept up with the news. He just looked at me and smiled and said no and I asked why? He said his commanding officer told him to buy it forget about it and don't listen to the hype or false rumors that will surround it. He said he'll hear when it happens and won't worry about it until then.
I shook his hand and thanked him for his service and wished him financial wealth for his sacrifice. He wished the same for me... I guess to put it in perspective... nothing anyone says on this board matters! It will happen when it happens and I am going to go live my life until it does.
