I am one of the biggest supporters of Summit City and I believe Fort Wayne needs this project more than anyone outside of this City realizes. I really believe in this project!
I also believe that if we do not see some progress, just something, even a name change by then, that this is just talk. A brilliant, crazy brilliant idea that stalled out for whatever reason it stalled out.
It seemed like there was some really strong progress in the beginning and things were moving along. Then it just sat down and went to sleep. The legs fell out from under it.
For whatever reason the purchase of EXTO did not close until December of last year, I understand that, but 5 months after the deal is done is enough time to do something. Anything!
So as of May 1st I will give up my seat to the big game here.
This is like waiting for the Cubs to win the World Series. The talent is here, the team is here, the combination is here, and the lineup is great. But in the end another year goes by and we say: “maybe next year.”
I look at this message board everyday to see if something has happened.
I go to those web pages at least twice a week.
I read the news paper to see if anything is there.
I watch the news to see if there is something, anything.
After all this time this just seemed to have lost all its momentum and ground to a halt like so many other desperately needed projects in our city.
Summit City: Whatever you were doing in the beginning, do it again.
Take a week off, heck take two, get centered, get your focus, get something done. We support you, we believe in this project!
Sometimes people need a kick in the pants to get them going. So this is my kick in your pants. GET TO WORK!
If you do nothing, I have no choice but to move on, and you will loose one of your biggest supporters.
