Yes, some reason would be good. Unfortunately, too many of us get blinded by our own dreams and youthful eagerness...

Here is some info on what is ALREADY happening in converting tires/plastic to oil:

As for converting styrofoam to oil - it is a claim, not yet scientifically developed. A bacteria is used to convert styrofoam to a form of bio-degradable plastic and in so doing, produces an oil - but it hasn't been developed nor has its effectiveness. Given Matthews and team are not scientists, nor does PMDP run a scientific lab, I question their claims to building a prototype converter for styrofoam. It is all very, very speculative and in its infancy stages of R&D.

There are also quite a few patents, and patent applications - all available online - for such converters. I didn't see any for PMDP...
