As far as national advertising goes, why would they want to start an ad campaign before the service is fully functional? I can see ads being in the works right now, ready to go for opening day, not before hand. This is a service, not a product like the ipad, I don't think it would be a wise move to advertise to the general public until it's fully operational. The last thing Ike needs is a million people "testing" the system before it's 100% ready.
