tjcort, I can certainly appreciate what you're trying to accomplish, but, from my experience in the market, this will have no affect on driving the share price to the upside.

What you propose will not preclude the MM's from having the ability to naked short a security - the only way to have an impact is to actually have your shares delivered to you personally. This of course will take shares out of the public float - the only major draw back to this is the fact that one will not be able to trade these shares till they're returned to your brokerage account. Even this strategy is not full proof, as it will not cut off the MM's ability to sell short, but, it would impact the market in a particular security.
