NM, you make perfect sense as to M1's behavior. However, what triggered j6p's sudden desire to withdraw his money? Could it have been the banks being leveraged at 40:1 or more on their derivatives in a deteriorating RE market. Might this leverage been encouraged by the repeal of Glas-Steagal?
