Focus by Nanotech Briefs on company's commercialization of Bell
Labs' 'nanograss' discovery follows Forbes/Wolfe Nanotech Report
feature as 'Company to Watch'
For the second time this quarter, mPhase Technologies (OTC:XDSL)
has been featured in a leading publication covering the nanotechnology
field.
The current bi-monthly edition of Nanotech Briefs contains a cover
article reporting on mPhase's milestone in proving the feasibility of
fabricating a battery based on a discovery by Lucent Technologies'
Bell Labs that liquid droplets of electrolyte will stay dormant atop
microstructures called "nanograss" until stimulated to flow, thereby
triggering an electrochemical reaction.
This follows a report in the September issue of the prominent
industry investment letter, Forbes Wolfe Nanotech Report, citing
mPhase among its "Companies to Watch". It stated: "One advantage
mPhase may have is that the technology could allow a device and its
power supply to be truly integrated and manufactured together - with
the battery baked into an integrated circuit - rather than having
separate components connected through leads. That feature alone makes
it worth watching."
Both media reports are posted on the mPhase website, www.mphasetech.com.
In light of the media attention, Ronald A. Durando, CEO of mPhase
Technologies, said, "We are gratified by the recognition by such
prominent independent publications as we strive to launch production
by mid-2006."
