Hoping someone can answer this question: I've been trying to research this today, but haven't come up with anything conclusive...

Is a government GRANT (i.e. free money from the government - not a loan) considered income on the balance sheet? And if it is income, it would be reflected in earnings, etc, yes?

Seems to make sense that it would be considered income, but can't find data to back it up...does anyone else know for sure? If so, anyone have a link to more info?

Don't like to make the board do my dirty work, but I'm having a hard time finding anything conclusive on this one...
