but there were more than two people trading today
for the PPS is at 000 1 right now, and "they" didn't buy at 000 1

meanwhile, there are several MMs on ASK of 2
and even more MMs on 3
so how the heck are you going to get the BID to be at 3
for that's what's needed to profit when you buy at 2
