Based on what youve accumulated out of the whole scenario, you just answered your own question... an R/S before the closing of the purchase price "would cause them to loose money along with the rest of us" that wouldnt benefit anyone.

I dont know the future, but I do know one thing, if something doesnt add up, it probably isnt going to happen, in this case, NO R/S..IMO
