Announces Agreement With Largest Private Home Medical Equipment Company in New York Metro Area
PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pa., March 18, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Medical Alarm Concepts Holding, Inc. (OTCBB:MDHI - News), manufacturer of the MediPendantTM, the only fully-monitored medical alarm system that allows you to speak and listen directly through the pendant, announced today that it has signed an exclusive agreement with Landauer Metropolitan, Inc. (LMI) to promote the Company's premier medical alert device, the MediPendantTM. LMI is the largest privately held home medical equipment company in the New York metropolitan area.
LMI currently services more than 75 health insurance benefit organizations in addition to Medicaid and Medicare. Under the terms of the contract, LMI will be marketing and promoting the MediPendant(TM) to its existing customer base as well to its other various distribution channels. As part of the Agreement, LMI MediPendant(TM) customers receive a concierge service package with their medical alarm. This includes free shipping, discounted monitoring, and enrollment in the medical ID wallet card program. The wallet card ID program allows the end user to be connected to the central station even when they are away from their home. "The wallet card ID program is additional peace of mind for our customers," said Paul Green. "If the customer is in the mall, for example, and needs assistance, they simply call the number on the ID card and provide the call center operator with the personal ID code that is on the card. The ID code is linked to the customer's personal information at the call center. The call center operator can then send assistance, notify the emergency response team of any issues the customer might have, and contact loved ones if necessary. It's a very successful program."
