Speculation on your part, which I disagree with, but not the part that "JG's sudden departure is health related"

One doesn't have to be Sherlock Holmes to figure out that Jim would not have stepped away at this point unless he was having serious health concerns. The family would deserve privacy on this issue at this difficult time.
