If you have a savvy group of investors acting in concert, and a large enough portion of the float is in private hands, you can also decide as a community to not sell. In laymens terms it's the "perfect storm" for a shareholder, the bid keeps rising because no one or very few people are willing to sell untill eventually someone breaks, but the the increase in PPS that can be achieved is meteoric and in many cases as close to instantaneous as the stock market allows. There have been some short squeezes that result in 35 minute 15,000 percent gains. If Ameritrade does in fact occupy a short position in ASFX and subsequently gets caught sans pants it's money in our pocket.

GLTA!
