Not wanting to get in an argument I thought I'd move this along from the pissing contest stage to the discussion stage. What we know is that Bull won "beating bids from Linux Networks, Hewlett-Packard, and IBM". Let's assume for a moment that IBM did bid with Power. That would mean Power, which exists today, lost against Montecito which isn't here today in finished form. It would seem that is quite a feat. Apparently that would mean Bull was able to convince CEA that Montecito is worth waiting for and far enough along in it's development to give confidence of a timely release. CEA would not be assured on faith alone. As we know Montecito has been sampling for some time now so I assume a significant demo was presented. That bodes very well for Montecito IMO.

Would you care to speculate on what IBM bid with if it wasn't Power?
