I have been catching up on posts here and I cannot believe it is happening again.
Your post is so true in many ways.
When one sits and reads (at one time) several weeks of posts on one thread, a picture starts to form in their mind and old thoughts arise.
It looks like you were set up also JXM. In my opinion it appears that BoP knows what gets to people and how to push peoples' buttons. I recalled, searched and pasted some posts from some months back when he set up Bob Z. BoP must be bored and wanted some action again and he chose you to play with, and not nicely IMO.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I do wonder about his psychological profile and what happened in his youth. He does like to put a profile on people it seems. Sure wonder what profile he has for me. Bird of Prey? Do you want to psychoanalyze me with a nice long post? I am very anxious to get a free analysis from you. TIA
It takes a big man to apologize and Bob is that man in my eyes. He has my respect.

Quotes from a couple of friends of mine:
You walked yourself into by engaging him. Accept that and walk away from it, man.
and
everyone must understand that personal criticism is acceptible in the jailhouse, but any references to anyone's children...
Sometimes I forget that I am held to a higher standard than most, and should also hold myself to those standards and strive for even higher ones. Fact of the matter is, as anyone who's really known me for any length of time can attest, dammit, I can really get into a brawl. I suppose especially after I've spent way too much time in head-down, bang-out-the-code-for-the-people geeking.
NW, you keep hinting to me with the subtlety of a 2x6 smacked against my head (8-footer, CCA), but when I'm in full-brawl mode, it's hard to back down.
I apologize to all for losing my temper. And losing my temper is exactly what I did when I saw a post that invoked betting the life of one of my precious children.
I restored BoP's account about an hour ago and sent him a PM asking (perhaps demanding) a private or public apology for it. I just want to know, from him, that he knows that went over the line. Though I care about the bad-mouthing of me (much more than people keep telling me I should), I don't care about that even remotely as much as the comment about my daughter. Hell, I was even enjoying the argument a bit. He's a challenging opponent and those're not easy to find. <g>
Anyway, I'll try to be better at turning the other cheek, but I do ask that some of you who keep doing the slapping keep in mind that you're talking to another human being here.
Again, I apologize for losing my temper. I won't say it'll never happen again. But I'll try not to let it.
Regards,
Bob Z.
PS. Joe, you're still wrong. I do appreciate that you're usually not malicious about it, though.
PPS. Can't we all just get a bong?
PPPS. I hope the previous post-script doesn't further violate the standards I'm held to.
PPPPS. BoP, if you're reading this, you've got PMail.

CharleyMike,
Your effort is not wasted nor is it falling on deaf ears. Though KK may be correct that a resolution is unlikely.
Besides, I have accomplished what I intended, allowing Bob's darker side to show itself.
Since it is Mother's Day and I need to spend some time honoring the Mothers in my life, I will suggest a cease fire and recommend that all of us spend the rest of the day rendering appropriate gifts of affection upon the Mothers in our lives.

After reading these posts, which were not entertaining, but very thought provoking to me, you put this in a post.
Besides, I have accomplished what I intended, allowing Bob's darker side to show itself.
Are you gloating? Got a big grin on your face? So you set Bob up?
You intended to bring out the darker side of a human being. We all have those dark sides, as you call it. It really must make you feel good, especially when you mention a family member, knowing fully you pushed the posters' buttons to get a response. I just see this as a person who likes to blow out anothers' candle to make theirs look brighter.
Sheesh

You can go back and read how it all really started when BoP attacked Bob. I think family SHOULD NOT BE MENTIONED and that BoP should be reprimanded for doing this again. MHO Just how many chances should he be given for attacking ones' family.
