And remember for anyone thinking to switch to Mark to Market, the election must be filed with the extension or before 4/15/10 to get the benefit for 2010 taxes filed next year. The 3115 is kind of a bear, but it was sure worth it for me, just the elimination of the wash sale rules was worth it. But not worth for everyone, just a lot of people forget to elect it at the proper time.
