Rab, this is probably true if you cross the Canadian border ILLEGALLY…However, if you cross legally the US/Canadian border into Canada, as a visitor, the opposite is true: you are treated as a potential criminal and a trespasser. All the inferiority complexes of the customs officers can get easily exacerbated for some ridiculous reason and those chaps can become really obnoxious…
