here is my theory... last time the catlogue was sold, for 800k something (using debt, and sale later revoked) it was sold to a company that did CD duplication..

not a winning strategy.

now enter Marc, who has 30 years of experience in the industry, and has the means to create licensing revenue. (not just sell CDs late night on TV with infomercials sort of thing)...

licensing is where the big money is.
in Film, TV, all kinds of uses...

so given that, the catalogue is in the hands for the first time, of someone who knows how to monetize it in a totally different way. which is why looking at how Sony monetizes its own catalogue in film/TV deals is relevant.

that's what Marc I'm assuming, intends to do.

that's my 2 cents of speculation
