i think the buyer new this was going to be the number before the deal ws struck. the as does not get changed overnight. there has to be a filing done with the state of deleware.

i also think what is going on here is the buyout for .01 is legit, BUT, the buyer is buying shares on the open market. whatever they don't own by the close date, they will purchase for .01 per share. the 'air shares' will be the shorts problem.
