Rebel_trade, based on an intelligent guess, I would say about 80-100 people attended (including people representing NMKT and it's subsidiaries).

Regarding Xiptel - not much was said specifically about the Xiptel spinoff, although Phil did mention that spinning off acquired companies is still part of the business plan. As each subsidiary was spun off into a stand alone company (from a market listing perspective), NMKT shareholders would get property dividends in the form of shares of the company being spun off. Peter Geddis, CEO & President of Xiptel talked to us on the current state of business and future plans for expansion.

The reason I said that things seemed to be running smoothly at NMKT until news of this deal with DFTS came thru is the following. Most of NMKT's subsidiaries or partners seemed to have a viable business with no apparent dubious activity. They seemed to be integrating well under the NMKT umbrella. DFTS on the other hand is a company with a bad case of the hicups to say the least - they have very little revenue to speak of, their liabilities far exceed their assets and they have been cash-flow negative for a while. None of the other subsidiaries or partners seemed to be in such bad shape at the time of acquisition. If NMKT retains control over DCI and gains control over DFTS thru this deal, I would be much happier to say the least.
