No. You need to be a shareholder of record "on" 4/15/10!!! That means your purchase must be on record as of that day. If your broker settles on T+3, you need to buy three days before 4/15/10. You can buy and sell ARTS as many times as you want until then. You can sell ARTS on 4/16/10 and still get the Dividend. That is true even if your broker settles your trade purchased on 4/15/10 on the same day. Most folks wait until that day to buy. I think a lot of folks bought yesterday thinking they needed to buy yesterday, 3/15/10 and not 4/15/10. "Reading is fundamental".
