Would the FDA ever look at market compeition? If there is only 1 drug that does something and another that has yet to be approved but essentially does the same on efficacy and safety....would they look at that as a determing factor to bring competition and drive cost down?

That would be my thinking. As a country health care costs are a huge burden and the more compition the better I guess..
