FYI,
The Groundel Trust was a totally philanthropic group that was to be formed as a result of a large transaction, that due to many factors, including the events of 9/11, has never been fully funded. The money they had committed to MZEI was (and is) dependent on that large transaction coming to fruition. Furthermore, being a PHILANTHROPIC group, they were much more concerned about the science and helping the world than about making a QUICK buck. They understood (and still do) that once MZEI had sufficient funding, the potential for success of what the company was focused on back in those days, could be astronomical in the long term, thereby EVENTUALLY being quite profitable to the Trust...which would only allow their philanthropic efforts to continue in the coming generations. Such philanthropic trusts are quite common, while even more are completely non-profit.

One thing that most longs remember but hasn't been spoken of in a long time, is the science and progress by MZEI that was made (and logged) back in the late 1990's and early 2000's regarding the blood purification directive. But without SUBSTANTIAL funding (to the tune of 5 million+), as well as required FDA approval on THAT portion of the business, MZEI could not proceed with bringing that part of the science to fruition.

Over the years SCORES of possible funding sources were approached by MZEI (and also approached MZEI), but most wanted too much control or too much of this or that in return. Many times Ed has had opporunites to "sell all the shareholders down the river," but to his credit, he's tried to do the right thing by all the investors...even though it has caused him personal hardship as well.

The AsepticSure directive was only made possible by a long term MZEI shareholder, who with the help of additional friends and shareholders, was able to fund MZEI to the point we are now. Fortunately, the long term relationship that Ed had cultivated over the past decade with various experts in the medical field relative to ozone never wavered, and when the AsepticSure directive was discussed and put into a business plan, everyone was immediately on board, and the funding actually began within the shareholders of MZEI. The shareholder that really made all we've achieved in the last 18 months or so possible has one of the largest holdings of MZEI other than Ed and one other company director...and to this day, he has NOT sold ONE share...even though ALL of his 144's have matured.

In spite of what we want to believe, MONEY makes things happen and finally we have the money to bring the AsepticSure directive to fruition. I ASSUME that within a few years (maybe sooner), the company will once again explore the initial directive that was pursued more than 10 years ago, but until then, AsepticSure will put us on the map and quickly propel us to profitability as well as worldwide prominence.
