I got an out of the blue call yesterday morning from an IR firm (they won't be disclosed), proposing to pay me a significant amount of cash and stock to help them promote the companies that they represent, one in specific. Had I recorded the call, I'd be screaming their name out as an IR firm to avoid like the plague. I asked why me ? They said because people believed what I had to say and it would appear that the stock was legitimate to others. With that statement, it was obvious these guys were up to no good. I asked what type of companies they represented and when I looked up the symbols (all pinks), I immediately recognized they were nothing but pump and dumps. I told this firm that I talk about nothing but legitimate companies and in no way would help them in their pump and dump efforts. The casual nerve of these guys made me think they think it's perfectly fine to run pump and dump campaigns and perfectly legal. I told these guys that my beliefs and integrity forbid me from participating in pump and dump scams and honor and truth are far more important than money. They replied with a simple, "okay." This phone call is the very reason that the SEC should eliminate pink sheets altogether and it just goes to show that the SEC openly endorses fraud without admitting it. I very much like the new SEC commissioner, but until pink sheets are eliminated once and for all, the job is not finished. Basically here in the USA, we teach the world that hypocrisy is okay and it's fine to proclaim one thing, yet do the exact opposite in secret. And people wonder why I only invest in China, where honor actually matters.
