As for the intent... I think they want to to prove this technology is commercially viable. It's the mission statement of the NAA...to promote algae as a commercially viable solution on all fronts. Lone Star wants to be the educational institution associated with this emerging technology for obvious reasons - it could put their college on the map in algae research/technology.
