I wouldn't pretend to know as much as you about commercial lending, private_wealth, (public_wealth since announcing you're a CPRK shareholder) but, Sonic appears to have planned a buyback with funds obtained thru loans - Banc of America and Lehman, the lenders:

"Sonic is working with Banc of America Securities and Lehman Brothers to arrange a new senior secured credit facility, which is expected to consist of a $100 million, five-year revolving credit facility and a $675 million, seven-year term loan facility. The new senior secured credit facility will be used to fund the purchase of shares in the tender offer, refinance certain of Sonic's existing debt and pay related fees and expenses. The tender offer will be conditioned upon receipt of this financing."

I'd settle for LTF - long term financing - w/o buybacks any day. Don't know if CPRK can attract the big money they need, but with so much cash sitting around out there, IMO someone is bound to catch the vision of what CPRK can become, especially if they can demonstrate in the next couple of months they can produce. IMO
