Jeff, and everyone.......

First, THANK YOU to everyone who took up for me, and for what I had to say. Now I'll try to reply to everyone in one post.

"THAT attitude What attitude is that..."

The attitude of dismissing the second part of my post because of the fisrt part. :)

Because I'm 'queer' as you put it, I don't have anything important or intelligent to say? That was the message I got anyway. No probs...it's 2004, not 1804 and us 'queers' are used to being dismissed...but it seems we always muddle through. Wonder why that is? Hmmm.

Fuen..
"djr, just read your post and the bottom half a I agree with wholeheartedly."

and then

"What D&D, and Lou, say on the air is their right based upon the first ammendment, just like it is your right to say what you want here. I don't always agree with what they editorially say, but it's their opinion."

How can you agree with what I said, and then turn around and disagree? Are you John Kerry? LOL

I agree, freedom of speech is a wonderful thing...but...

What would happen to all the news anchors (on ANY network...national or local), or 'REPORTERS'...if they read the news and then gave 'their personal opinions'?

Remember Bill Mahr? His show (Politicaly Incorrect) was yanked within 2 months of someone upset by something he said. It was HIS opinion, but he was/is OFF the air anyway.

You think because D&D say 'in my opinion' it gets them off the hook? NO! REPORT the news if you're a reporter. Keep your 'personal opinions and agendas' to yourself, or expect backlash. It's really that simple.

The bottom line is...and the point that you and Jeff seem to have missed is...D&D, with their 'IMO" and 'Freedom of Speach' are OFFENDING a hell of a lot more people than they think. Which translates into less listeners, which translates into less sponsors, which translates into no revs, which translates into what happened to Bill Mahr.

Jeff again......
"But when someone like DJ wants to play that card to their advantage, I WILL play back. I like to play "

Play what card? And 'someone like DJ'...what does that mean? A gay person? So what? My money spends like everyone elses, and studies show 'people like me' have a lot more of it to spend (wish I knew where my portion of that money was!).

I'm not playing any card other than common sense. You can't go around offending people, or their stocks, and expect them to listen to and support your show. Again, it's THAT simple.

Once again, thanks to ALL of you who showed your support. And thanks also for finally, SOMEONE OTHER THAN ME, saying what has to be said about IBCS.

Losing listeners because you're free to say what you want and so you do, it's a very smart business plan.

Now I'm off to do more shopping. Oh joy.
Have a great day!
DJ
