Intrinsic Audio Solutions (dba SLS Audio) hopes to send a little SLS to the world. SLS (short for Superior Line Source) makes loudspeakers and audio systems for commercial and professional use. The company sells its systems through a network of about 250 dealers in the US and abroad. The majority of company's sales go to houses of worship. It also supplies about a dozen smaller cinema chains across the Midwest. After an unsuccessful foray into the in-home market, the company is focused on commercial and professional customers. In March 2009 SLS filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. It was bought two months later by CEO John Gott and other investors who changed its name to Intrinsic Audio Solutions.
