Because if that is indeed the truth, I would expect something to be done about it. The fact that there is silence with both companies about the whole link or domain leads me to believe something different. When and if there is some concrete proof saying that there isn't a common thread between the two, I'm believing that there is. After all, it is my opinion.

I don't want to get everyones hopes up that there is a link between the two, but anyone can say anything and it is your choice on which one to believe in.

Right now, I'm choosing to believe there is something common, otherwise in my opinion, something would have been said by either of the companies that there is no link.
