F6 you are missing the point Kerry should have won this election by 4 or 5 states, he ran a mediocre campaign, although more daring than Gore, he played it too safe, never should have had Shrum running his campaign, this guy should have had an alternative Iraq plan by January of 2004, for over six months he did not even mention Iraq, never talked about the tactical failures there, he did not attack Bush hard enough, responded to the swift boats ads too late, did not attack Bush at all at the convention while the republicans dumped on him at their convention
i could go on with many more mistakes, oh yeah, what was he thinking by voting against the 87 billion for iraq, look I supported him and thought he ran a decent campaign, but he took way too long to shape a credible iraq strategy and even when he came up with one it was not detailed enough, this election was his to lose and he lost it, if there was enough evidence of voter fraud he would still be fighting
one other thing, I think the media did a joke job of presenting us with all of the vietnam controversies during the democratic primaries, even though most of the allegations have been proven false, if i had known that these things were out there i would not have nominated him and that was probably why gore did not pick him as the vp in 2000
