CM, when I read this gentleman's sequence this morning, I was sorely tempted to comment on it. I felt bad about the circumstances he described and thought I might be able to compose something that would be helpful (No, I'm not joking. I'm serious.)
I felt that I ought to be able to come up with some combination of words that would encourage quiet reflection by the author, on his circumstances. But, damn it, I just couldn't do it. How many ways can one cite Robert Burns, or call attention to the importance of mirrors?
Finally, I decided this was a good time to apply the "Discretion of the better part of valor!" adage.
