these are the sites you should be looking at on a daily basis-- i emailed glen kealey [ http://www.wordsculptor.net/content/index.html ] and this is what he emailed me back:

If you live anywhere within 100 miles of an ocean you
should bookmark USGS and Smithsonian Institute etc and
look at them three or four times a day.
