Common sense would agree with RMW hauling as more expensive. I remember seeing a multipler and some cost models in past searches on studies and materials, so will try to locate more detail.

This booklet at top of Page 3 has a statement of cost:

"Regulated Medical Waste (RMW) haulage fees are at least five times more than regular waste haulage."

I'm trying to locate a study that had more detail from some old reading and will post if I can locate.

I'm also understanding that the paperwork/tracking/reporting of RWM leaving a facility adds cost, i.e internal processing of RWM to non-RWM (regular waste for landfill) has less burden in a cost model.
