If the people working on the website were working late into the evening last night it would seem in my opinion that they have a deadline to have it finished and working that is real soon. Otherwise they wouldn't be staying that late. Maybe a PR is planned and ready to release at the end of today. It's also possible that a PR to announce the active website would contain other information as well.
