CCTC Patent

Read the patent for CCTC's clean coal technology. Not only does the new technology make coal burn cleaner with less emissions but it also increases the thermal output which makes you have to burn less coal to make the same amount of power. This is a quote directly from the pattent:

"The process of the invention allows for the controlled volatilization and removal of moisture and organic volatiles, while maintaining the majority of the biomass' natural structural integrity, with reduced disintegration to powder form, thereby converting low grade fuel of, for example, 7500 BTU/lb, or less into high grade fuel of 12,500 BTU/lb, or higher. The process greatly reduces capitalization and production costs required to arrive at the desired result, thus substantially increasing the cost effectiveness and production rate over prior processes. This invention also greatly reduces the time necessary to complete the process from the existing process of hours to 15 minutes or less, more usually 5-10 minutes."

This means a much larger profit margin on previously only marginally economical coal deposits.

Did anyone consider why a railroad company is doing a JV with CCTC? Did anyone bother to check what the railroad has? A huge low grade coal deposit! They need CCTC's patented technology to make their coal deposit profitable. The joint venture partner has a $6,000,000,000 line-of-credit for the project, and since the project has began, has spent $200,000,000. The huge amount of money flowing into this project speaks for itself.
