Re: Need luck, Customizing MA's..etc

With respect to customizing MA's that’s easy with Stockcharts, the default is the closing price, but you can just as easily specify the High, Low, or Open. I use them in scans or you can also chart them, just add the criteria to the charting parameters. Here's an example with 20MA's for the Close, High, Low and Open all plotted on the same chart, from Stockcharts.

As far as INO.Com goes, I agree they have some nice info on their site, delayed news, charts and data, I read them often, but I've not as yet been impressed with their MarketClub site. They provider a different service and I don't seem them as a competitor for Stockcharts. Yes they have charts but right now I'll take the Stockcharts charting engine anyday over what I've seen on the MarketClub site.

I checked out your link to the Club charting, news and data site, but was not impressed with the limited detailed info provided and the free trial is actually $449 with an option to request your money back if not happy. The info videos showed some pretty basic charts and a very limited scanning system with no user defined scans. As far as data downloads, talking charts, advise and stock chat blogs, there are lots of free sights that will suit most peoples needs, from very very long to very very short.

In the end it all comes down to what you want, not all sites or price packages suit all customers. If you need real time streaming charts by the second, with real time tick by tick data, then I would just get it right from each individual exchange, it's not cheap, but if that’s what you need, you need it. As I understand it, even if a third party distributor resells data to you they have to charge basically the same as you going to the exchange directly, (maybe some small discount but basically the same). Or they are not providing data directly from the main exchanges, its from BAT's or some other small exchange.

Good luck trading / investing

I don't work for Stockcharts, I'm just another user always trying to learn more and willing to share what I've already learned.
