Reading that, I noticed that the guy was 'afraid' of even asking what the price would be. I understand his concern. Back when I was calling every top notch data recovery place I could, and asking them about recovering old computer tapes, I got price quotes anywhere from $900-$1400 for ONE TAPE. I imagine there would be a volume discount, but really. Data recovery is a very lucrative business apparently.

And when I asked them about the accuracy of the data recovered, they were never optimistic about getting 100% recovery.

SO.

1. NASA is getting a hell of a deal at $22/tape. Perhaps the low price is because John is addressing his social duty. And it only takes 15 minutes/tape anyway.

2. JBII is the only company that can read these tapes with 100% accuracy........z
