Looks to me like a symmetrical triangle similar to a pennate formation has formed. You only addressed rising and falling wedges. The SP is presently trending up which is bullish (bull pennate). We have had 4 lows but only 3 highs within the traingle and are approaching the apex, so there is a high probability that the 4 high will break out. Of course news will greatly assist it in determining how high the breakout goes IMHO.
