Woofermax; Welcome 2 the board......

I too, am still perplexed by the (reported) cancellation of Solterra's presentation at the Saudi summit & the apparent unique opportunity that it afforded them. I only saw one hypothesized reason posted here on this board to explain this (reported) cancellation....the same one you quoted, about the unknown 'backer' and all.
For my part (not that it means anything), I can only postulate (using my limited powers of 'logic') that they cancelled (if thats what really happened) due to one of the following:

1*Not being ready for the event for reasons unknown....

2*Having been successfully 'selected' to build the Saudi solar cell factory as was mentioned previously:
http://www.solterrasolarcells.com/media_press_061609.php?ID=06 --note; I (personally) lean towards this explanation in light of the subsequently released statement by the CEO: http://www.plusplasticelectronics.com/Energy/Printed-PVs-power-new-Saudi-cities.aspx

3*Having 2nd thoughts about divulging their proprietary secrets to an open forum for reasons related to patents, legalities or an amended business/marketing-plan.

4*A combination of reasons #2 & 3

Whatever the reasons (only known to management), I'm with you in thinking that it should preferably be incumbent upon HGUE to give follow-up announcements relating to their previously made public statements... i.e; ... results of events , milestone achievements & timeline schedule compliance (or at least, updates as to why these goals were not met). HGUE is indeed, a tough-nut to crack.....if it weren't for our collective backdoor , I'd be really nervous about this incredibly secretive company.

On your Sun-tech question: I saw their announcement awhile back about moving to Arizona. There's always a possibility there but maybe like Silicon Valley , the solar sector likes to congregate in a clump.....First Solar & a number of big-name solar companies are also based in Arizona.

Hoping for better days...very soon....looking for a big-bang here like: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2005/09/050923075505.htm

*P.S.; got some of those .10's today---starting to add-up.
