My Dad often wrestled on beach with Pappy after sorties. Used to say he could still hear his voice on the radio, taunting a Zero pilot who spoke good English, over Rabaul, "You sh*theads think you're tough? Get your a**es up here and fight!"

Said the Black Sheep TV show was Hollywood bullsh*t. There were NO goodlooking nurses! And Pappy was always a pistol. My son has a tat of Dad's squadron's insignia "Flying Deuces" (VMF-222), the two of clubs, spades and diamonds. Asked Dad why no deuce of hearts. Said "Marines aren't p*ssies!"
