Not to be cynical, but mice are not people. So far you are saying that the tests have not been tried on people dying of sepsis. Then, human trials should begin as soon as possible to save lives.
There would be great PR if the drug works on people. I'm not a fan of mice testing. What I want to see is how many lives have been saved and can be saved. Then, there is big money.
