first time posting here,...playing GE some options so i thought i'd take a view of what is being said,...

i play options depending on the chart,...in and out of calls and puts,...right now holding GE Mar13put and DOW Mar9000put.

i posted the DOW chart, GE chart and a ARM graph below,...

just wanted to comment on your post if you don't mind,...

if we take your scenario "I believe this is just a temporary pullback. Look at the chart from last January. The same thing happened that is happening now. We showed a sharp decline from the beginning of the year until about March."

if we take the DOW,..the DOW was at 9000 Jan '09,..come Mar it was 6500,...that is a 30% drop and/or a 2500 point loss.

if we advance that to this year and assume it will follow the same pattern,...Jan '10 the DOW was at 10600,...if it follows pattern then in Mar we will see a 7420 DOW,...30% drop and/or 3180 point loss. indicators are negative with strengthening to the donwside. 20/50MA crossover occurred on Feb 4,...death kiss to the pps.

GE,...Jan '09,...pps at 16.50,...by Mar '09 pps at 5.50,...67% drop and/or 11 point loss,...Jan '10 pps for GE at 15.25,..if it follows pattern,..67% drop and/or a pps at 5.03. 20MA heading down, crossovers on the MACD and ADX,..not looking pretty. technically gaps to be filled at 14. 50, 13.85 and 12.70.

ADDITIONALLY we have THIS

coming to a neighborhood near all of us. are we ready and preparing our selves ? it's coming and should be as nasty and rank as the first round. by estimation we are approximately 1-2 months away from the beginning of another round of defaults which will be hitting the the shelves in March / April. a big dive is in the making. i jsut don't see how it can be avoided.
