Question....

Dennis Fisher mentioned in an interview awhile back that he's got a standing order to produce as much Spirulina as he can at $8000 a metric ton (2200 lbs). And that 1 acre produces .2 tons of algae per acre, per day.

A 1 Acre PBR...
$8000 x .2 = $1600 a day in revenue ($584,000 year)

150 acre farm = $87,600,000.00/year in algae revenues alone. Not including equipment, etc.

The 150-acres sounds like a lot of mini joint ventures, but when it's all said and done, $87,600,000.00 is a pretty big pie to have a slice of - especially considering equipment sales, etc. Will be interested to hear more on that front.

Question is... Did anyone else do the math on this? And if so, what sort of numbers did you come up with?

I know spirulina is not the MOST profitable strain, but unless my math is off, it's looking pretty good to me.
