my husband agrees with you - to me it's really a market call - do I think the market will move up to a level that keeps me off margin..if I throw money into the account only to see it continue to fall, I will lose twice....the individual stock, IOC, in this case, I believe will recover BEFORE the market does...but you're right - it's either sell 4000k of stock or deposit 800 bucks..thanks!
