Goldman Sachs said PC-oriented semiconductor stocks have rallied and downgraded some companies in a search for "better upside estimate revision potential." Goldman downgraded Advanced Micro Devices (nyse: AMD - news - people ), ATI Technologies (nasdaq: ATYT - news - people ) and Volterra Semiconductor (nasdaq: VLTR - news - people ) all to "in-line" from "outperform." The research firm said, "All three companies are executing very well, but we expect earnings-per-share estimates to hit an interim peak in the next four to six weeks." Goldman said it continues to rate Intel (nasdaq: INTC - news - people ) and Marvell Technology Group (nasdaq: MRVL - news - people ) at "outperform."
