This is too circuitous to keep track of, makes my head spin.

I keep thinking back to the scenes in The Sopranos when the FBI has everyone's picture on the wall with lines connecting them. Keeping tabs on these sorts of things requires an organization unto itself.

The only reason I enjoy spending so much time on this is because it's related to my studies and is a great learning experience, good for coming up with thesis ideas too.

With a staff and enough resources put aside, it'd be fun to setup a non-profit dedicated to exposing these types of people. You'd need lots of storage and processing power to do some serious data-mining, and all the links and associations could be accessible via web reports in an easy to understand format.
