VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, Dec 16, 2009 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- Wolverine Exploration Inc. (OTCBB: WOLV) ("Wolverine") is pleased to announce that it is now listed on the OTC Bulletin Board under the trading symbol WOLV.

Wolverine is a junior mineral exploration company that owns a 90% interest in 540 mineral claims located in central Labrador, Canada (the "Labrador Claims"). These claims cover roughly 33.5 thousand acres and contain a series of significant copper-gold showings. Mineralized sub-crops were uncovered during construction of the Trans-Labrador Highway (TLH).

Assay values from these sulphide-stained showings were sampled by Wolverine in 2006 and 2008 and range from 1.38% to 6.4% Cu and up to 0.5 g/t Au.

An airborne electromagnetic and magnetic survey flown in 2007 identified several discrete conductive targets which were subsequently followed up by a prospecting program in 2008. High grade copper in assays were returned from a number of surface grab samples that were coincident with airborne electromagnetic trends, the best assay being 6.4% Cu and 0.5 g/t Au. Ground prospecting continued in these priority areas and included a follow-up of a high natural radio-activity airborne anomaly which was confirmed.

Wolverine recently completed a more detailed prospecting and sampling program on the Labrador Claims in 2009 with the intent of establishing a ground grid for geophysical surveys (induced polarization) in an effort to map out the extent of the disseminated copper mineralization in advance of a drill program. Details on the results of the prospecting and sampling program will be released shortly.
