Look for a simple Linksys or Netgear 4 port router, you can find them on rebate sale for around 25-35 dollars deppending on whats on sale this week.

Stay away from Belkin, D-Link will do in a pinch but Netgear is probably your best bet for quality.

BTW, I assumed your on highspeed, none of these will help with dialup, but it would be pretty tough to catch a trojan over dial up unless your connected for a long time, you'd see a huge drop off in speed and know something is up.
